Reflections on Life since I Retired from Corporate America

Two years ago today, I began my journey beyond Corporate America. My desire for freedom with my schedule, and the yearning to follow my inner guidance to heart-connected service led me to turn down the offer to transfer within my then-company and embark on an uncharted course.

I’ve done some reflecting on the opportunities I have taken since walking this path.

I am grateful that I have been able to travel to serve causes that are near and dear to my heart and to spend time with my family. I have visited beautiful places and co-created and nurtured beautiful, cherished connections with aligned spirit-souls. I have studied with dear teachers and fellow learners to become more self-aware and more clear on how to serve and support others. I’ve become more honest about how I feel and what I want in my life. I have witnessed transformation in myself and in the lives of others through conscious communication and intentional presence.

One thing that has become clear to me is how much I love meeting people where they are and being with them as they move through their experience. Whether the experience is joyful, full of celebration, of creation or dreams coming true, or painful, full of grief and sorrow. I love being there for them as a mirror to reflect their experience so that they get deeper understanding of what they are experiencing and what they want to create in their life.

As I prepare to embark on a new chapter in my life, I am preparing to create a unique way to serve more people on an individual and group basis. I am looking within and asking myself questions like:

  • What is my most fulfilling way to serve?

  • What gifts light me up to share with others?

  • What is the most joyful service I can provide that inspires me to jump out of bed each day?

  • Who do I serve and how do I serve?

I am so grateful to the people in my life who are walking the walk of living their purpose and serving from a clean and inspired space within. I am inspired by the dozens of seminar and class participants I have served and/or learned with on the journey of self-realization and healing, of cleansing the diamond that is inside all of us. The diamond that is what we are, who we truly are. I bless these previous two years as a challenging training ground that has prepared me for the steps I now take to consciously create a new way of showing up for myself and others. I look forward to the growth I am about to embark upon and feel ready and up to the challenge.
